Name of the article: Pizza Hut's pie-ordering sneakers are like none other

Name of the site/magazine: Dogo news

Author: Hannah Shariff

What is the article about? pizza huts pie ordering sneaker that you can order pies from pizza hut with sneakers

What lessons can we take away from the article? That technology is getting more advanced

What one sentence from the article is most important? Why? They are only available during march madness. that is the most important sentence because if someone read this and wanted some, they would have to wait until next march madness, but if they didn't read all of the article then they would go searching for them but wouldn't find them.

1. Watch SpaceX launch NASA's planet-hunting satellite on a Falcon 9 rocket

2. CNBC

3. CNBC (I couldn't find an exact name)

4. The article is about SpaceX launching a Falcon 9 rocket to carry a satellite that hunts out planets

  • The launch happened live at Cape Canaveral 6:51 pm ET (or Eastern Time)
  • The satellite TESS weighs 800 pounds and costs $87 million to get into orbit
  • The lower section was expected to land they but they will not be recovering the upper part of the rocket in this mission

5. a lesson we can take away from this article is that since we can reuse rockets we can reuse almost anything else.

6. The most important sentence, in my opinion, is that "while the lower stage of Falcon 9's rocket is supposed to land they might not recover the upper half of the rocket" I think this is important because this means we're getting closer to reusing everything that is needed to get into space

1.Spotify tests filter to block swearing in songs

2.www.bbc.com

3.Dan Maudsley

4.This artical is about how alot of parents are complaining that songs that are "explicit" dont have enough control. Also parents complain that spotify dosent have enough control over what songs they will let there kids litsen to and want them to add parental controls so kids wont litsen to "explict" songs like rap and parents were also complaining that in the beta version you can but on paid users can (Beta is a testing version witch only some people can use).

5.that most companys dont give needed things for parents like parental contols witch alot of parents need.

6.I think the most important sentnce is when a parent said: "I'd had quite a few awkward moments, where the kids had been listening to songs on the radio, and suddenly our home filled [with swear words] when they played the same songs on Spotify."  this is important becuse this show a fusteration with the parents becuse they want parental controls to stop sutuations like this from happening.

Name of the article: Sorry, Americans, you still can't call her 'Princess Meghan'

Name of the site/magazine: CNN.com

Author:  AJ Willingham

What is the article about? (minimum of 3 facts) You cannot call Meghan Markle, Princess Meghan. She will probably use the name duchess instead of princess. Her rank would be a princess by marriage of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,"She is an unofficial princess because her husband is a prince, but because she wasn't born into a royal family, she won't be a capital-P "Princess" and won't have her name styled as such.

What lessons can we take away from the article? That we Americans cannot call her Princess Meghan Markle.

What one sentence from the article is most important? Why? She is an unofficial princess because her husband is a prince, but because she wasn't born into a royal family, she won't be a capital-P "Princess" and won't have her name styled as such, because that is her official name.

Why?: " Aloha, for me, is kindness and harmony-something important to keep in mind between 'hello' and 'goodbye'" It is important because it shows the true meaning of kindness and how the word "Aloha" isn't just a way of saying 'Hi' in Hawaii.

Title of Article: Toronto collision leaves 9 dead, 16 injured; suspect in custody

Name of Site: CNN news

Author: Eric Levenson, Julia Jones, Darran Simon

What is the article about:

  • A van sped onto the sidewalk and crashed into a total of 25 pedestrians, leaving them dead or injured,   in downtown Tronto.
  •  Acroding to police the van left up to a mile of destruction across sidewalks.
  •  The suspect has been found and is now in custody.
  •   The New York City police had previously had records of the suspect commiting other minor crimes
  • A witness reported that it had looked like the van was intentionally hitting people. While leaving a path straight through traffic. But police are still not sure if it was intentional or not.
  • Reportatly, the vehicle was also a rental car.

This article is important because everyone should be aware of dangers in our country. Incedints like this can happen anywhere and it sort of brings reality back to us.

In my opinion the most immportant sentence from the article would be, "This is a time when community should come together." And I agree with this. Disasters like this force the community to work together to fix problems. The mayor of Toronto, New York, stated it to prove that they will work to improve safety in the city.

Title: Toronto collision leaves 9, 16 injured; suspect in custody

Name of the site: CNN

Author(s): Eric Levenson, Julia Jones, and Darran Simon

What is the article about (facts)

1. Many people are left dead and injured after the driver of a white van rammed into multiple pedestrians today.

2. The driver was left in custody after killing and injuring a grand total of 25 people, but his name remaimns a mystery to the public.

3. The incident happened around 1:30 pm according to the numerous calls that the police received about the incident.

4. It has remained unsaid if the collisions were intentional.

What lessons can we take away?: I think one lesson that can be taken away from the article is to always be aware and cautious of your surroundings, because anything can happen at any time. It still reamains unknown to the public if the collisions were intentional, and the pedestrians may have taken some part in the incident. The 9 that were dead could've been among the 16 injured if the had simply looked both ways before crossing the street.

What one sentence from the article is most important? Why?: The most important sentence in the article is the first sentence because it tells you what the areticle is about.

1) How Windmills as Wide as Jumbo Jets Are Making Clean Energy Mainstream

2) New York Times

3) Stanley Reed, Carsten Snejbjerg and Rasmus Degnbol

4) Henrik Stiesdal had started to design and build smaller windmills with a friend, a blacksmith. The blades of some of the largest recently advanced windmills are up to 270 feet long. The windmills and the projects are being done in Osterild, Denmark. Inside the workshop where they build these, the workers have to be tied on a harness with the elevator to stay with the part they work on. It takes about 3 days to make one blade with 1,300 workers. Serrated teeth and combs on the blades were inspired by owl wing feathers to make it have less sound.

5) A lesson you can take away with the reading is that if you set your mind to something and work hard on it, you can accomplish it. Henrik set up a huge company making a lot of wind power with just starting on small windmills with a friend.

6) "The larger the size, the lower the cost of generating energy." This is the most important sentence because the whole goal of the article is to reduce the cost of getting energy by building larger windmills, and is the whole drive of the company.

Singing helps Siberian Husky reunite with its owner.

Dogo news

Meera Dolasia

It is about a Siberian husky who got lost. The police found the dog and were about to give it back but the owner wanted to experiment. He asked the officers to let the dog listen to a song. The dog sang right along with it and came home.

One lesson that we can take out of this story is that forms of help can come in ways that we don't expect.

"I cried the whole way here" meaning he cares so much about his dog. This is important because if he did not care for the dog then the dog might have been left there.

1. Festo's Bionic Flying Fox Bats And Somersaulting Robotic Spiders Are Incredible

2.Dogonews

4.

a)The article is about Germany's Fresto who has made many bio-inspired robots.

b)The article is about the robot flying fox bat that has many different uses and flies using its 90-inch (7.5 feet) wings but only weighs 20 ounces (1.25 pounds)

c) Festo has also made dragonfly, spider, ants, butterflies, flying jellyfish, and seagulls robot to do different tasks.

5.we can take away the lesson that nature is very futuristic and it is full of potential for our engineering and important to care for the environment to continue these advancements.

6.the sentence that I think is important is "Also known as fruit bats, flying foxes are members of the bat family, the only group of mammals capable of sustained flight." and this is important because it shows why they chose this specific animal and how its flight is different from other mammals that can fly.

  5. That some people trust Amazon and most people don't
  6. I liked when the article said,"Amazon won’t say how many," because it shows you that Amazon won't reveal your secrets to the public.

1. Climate Change could ruin the quality of your coffee.

2. CNN

3.Nancy Coleman

4. The article is about climate change. In the article, a new study found that Ethiopia, one of the world leading coffee producers, could lose 60% of its suitable land by the end of the century due to climate change. Coffee beans could ripen more slowly affecting its taste while demand grows and land decreases. The warmth will mean a reduction of flavor.

5. A lesson is that climate change is very much real and that the effects of it could lead to a decrease in quality like foods such as coffee.

6."According to a report from World Coffee Research, the demand for coffee will have doubled by 2050, but the suitable land to grow it on will be cut in half." This sentance is most important because it shows the effect of this could happen as early as 2050 and how exactly it will happen.

Name of article: Cat who walked 12 miles back home, only to be rejected again.

Name of websight is:

http://www.wcvb.com/article/cat-who-walked-12-miles-back-home-only-to-be-rejected-again-finds-new-family/19848687

The auther is the SPCA

This article is about a loyal cat who wanted to stay with his family.

This article is also about the cruelty that humans are doing to these animals and loving them one day dumping them the next.

Lastly this article is about the kindness of a shelter to take the cat Toby.

The leson that we can take from this article is that us humans are being cruel to these loyal animals and abandoning them.  Also it shows how loyal this cat would be to walk 12 miles back to it's preveous owners.

The most important sentense I could find was: The intital still didn't want Toby, and actually took Toby to an animal shelter to be euthanized.

My name of my story is: Shark-spotting drones help keep swimmers safe.

My site is bbcnews.

The author of my story is Nick Kwek.

My article is about drones that scan the beach for sharks and alert the swimmer to get back to shore. These drones are not going to take over a lifegaurds job because if the swimmer needs physical help the drone cant help. An on-board siren on the drone warns swimmers of a nearby shark.

A lesson learned is how technology can help and save lives and not be used as bad things.

Human lifeguards still need to physically retrieve those in trouble. I chose this sentence because you cant 90% time trust technology.

Name of the article: Shark spotting drone that heps keep swimmers safe

Name of the site/magazine: BBC

Author: Nick Kweck

What is the article about? This article is about drones that can detect sharks. The drones can realize the diffrence between sharks and marine life. The life gaurds will still have to go and reatrive the person in case of a shark attack. There is also a siren if the drone detects a shark and the swimmers should get out of the water.

What lessons can we take away from the article? One leasson we can take away from this article is that technology can be bad in some ways but it can be very good in others.

What one sentence from the article is most important? Why? One sentence that is important is "Shark Spotter, to distinguish between sharks and other marine life." This is a important sentence beacuse if the drone can not detect other marine life the siren would go off all the time.

Title: Worlds Tallest Geyser Keeps erupting, and scientists aren't sure why

Cnn News

Written by: Judson Jones

  • Yes, it is a scientific mystery. This extremely large geyser shoots out three times as much water as Old Faithful, reaching heights of 380 feet!
  • The geyser, also known as Steamboat, is located in one one of the most dangerous parts of Yellostone National Park. It lies in the hottest and most unpredictable area.
  • Some refer to Yellowstone as a "super-volcano", because it could just be one massive volcano capable of producing 240 cubic miles of magma.
  • In conclusion, scientists think it could be created by a new thermal disturbance but are still not sure.

One lesson we can take away is how unpredictable nature really is. Some parts of our own country could just be super-volcanos, waiting to explode. But we should still appreciate the beauty of nature around us.

This sentence is most important, "Most geysers erupt infrequently, unlike Old Faithful, so Steamboat is not enigmatic in that regard. But Steamboat has a mystique about it because it is the tallest active geyser in the world. It gets attention because of this, and rightly so," said one scientist.

I think it is important because it  shows you how unique this geyser really is. It frames how special and mysterious nature can be.
