The five W's are the "crux" of al news, they include who, what, when, where, and why. The Inverted pyramid is th estyle of an article or story which places the most important facts and information in the begininng of the story and then continues on like sloping down a pyramid and al events go in greatest to weakest sequence. The comment "All about people" is about how people are affected by things around them and how the supporters or bypassers feel. This applies to the Iliad because when Helen was witnessing the duel between Paris and Menelaus, Aphrodite swooped Paris before he got killed and brought him to the bedroom when Aphrodite went to convice Helen to go with she went but with a fight because she knew that Aphrodite shouldn't have saved Paris so the wra will end and it shouldn't've been interupted because now everyone will think of Helen for the reason of all this. It can relate to our project because when we are doing a newspaper article you interview things that happened recently and what the bypassers did and saw. "Have an angle," is about how stories and newspaper articles can be better and different if it just has an angle or "slant". Have an angle is also about how different things can help make a purpose like making a story clearer more efficent or a more focused topic.

1. Explain the 5 W's The 5 W's are the crux of all news and you need to know them. They include who, what, when, where, why and how.
2. Explain the Inverted Pyramid. The Inverted Pyramid is the style of journalism that has the has the most important facts at the beginning and works down from there. In the first paragraph should be enough information so it's a good overview of the story, or a summary.
3. Explain the comment, "It's about people" How do you apply this to the Iliad and your project? The comment, "It's about people" explains that news reports are all about people. If you are applying it to the Iliad it might be something like this: a)When you're on one ore more individuals you might talk about how Aphrodite was cut on the wrist. b) If you're doing how the team morale is doing then you might do how the war was very fair. c) If you're doing how the supporters are doing then you could say how Adromache loves, misses and wiches that Hector wouldn'tgo and fight because she thinks that he will die out there.
4. Finally, explain "Have an Angle" Having an angle is sort of like having a point of view. Thsi technique helps makes the purpose of the story more clear and give it focus.

Kassie,
I think that you were really specic on all but the last one. The article didn't say that having an angle meant how stories and newspaper articles can be better and different.

1) 5W's- The crux of all news. the are Who What When Where Why.
2) Inverted Pyramind- A sttyle of journalism that has all of the important facts and then goes down... important is like the tip, and it gets it's shape as it goes on with the not so important facts
3) "It;s about people"- I think that it means that well, it is all about the people, like why the people are in the story. I think this is how you can apply it to the Iliad- the people that are wives of the trojan soldiers I.E, Andromache loves Hector, and without him, life would be a big nothing.
4) Having an Angle- It helps the authors of the story get their point across to their readers... I think

Ary,
I think you need to apply more effort and writing to show that you actually understand the topic. If I didnt know what the inverted pyramid or the quotes were about I wouldnt have a good understanding of the answer from the response that you have given. I think that it is good overall but you need to show you understand and can relate on #3. I think your answer is short and simple but you need to show that you can understand a good portion of it.

Explain the 5 W's They stand for Who? What? When? Where? and with the H How? For example if you were interviewing a famous singer you would ask these questions and they should be able to answer them.
Explain the Inverted Pyramid This refers to the style of journalisim which places the most important facts at the beginning and works "down" from there. Ideally, the first paragraph should contain enough information to give the reader a good overview of the entire story. The rest ofthe article explains and expands on the beginning.
Explain the comment, "Its about the people." How do you apply this to your lliad project? The comment is about how in news stories and things like that the stories are always about the people and how something effected them. I can use this for my lliad project by foucusing on a certain character and write about them, how they are effected , and how other charcters think about the character that they are focusing on.
Finally explain, " Have an angle." This is a standard technique and it isn't necessarily bad. It can help make the purpose of the story clear and give it focus.
